Mia Lamp by Federica Bubani for Fabbian

Federica Bubani plays with the spatial possibilites of two conical shapes in Mia, a new table lamp for Fabbian. Bubani designed the light so that a smaller cone containing a fluorescent light bulb fits into a larger, conical base. The position of the smaller cone determines the direction and intensity of the light emitted by the lamp. The inside of both translucent ceramic forms have been glazed to reflect light better. The table lamp is called Mia – “mine” in Italian – to reflect the extent to which the customer can customise the object.
