A tea set in soft pink and grey toned porcelain, Purpur by Roxanne Flick was inspired by the long necks and bodies of flamingos. The collection, created for Pforzheim University’s Graduate Show 2016, includes pieces that resemble different features of the life cycle of lesser flamingos: the sugar dispenser and creamer have more spherical shapes that resemble the appearance of the chicks. The teapot is based on adult birds and therefore has an elongated shape and a spout resembling the necks of flamingos. The cups are intended to represent flamingo eggs.
