Souvenir Collection by Andrea Rekalidis for BOZU

Souvenir Collection by Italian designer Andrea Rekalidis is a set of white-glazed ceramic desk organisers modeled after five famous Italian monuments. Rekalidis got the idea for the collection from the small souvenir statues of famous landmarks tourist usually bring home from their travels, but he wanted to give these otherwise useless objects a utilitarian function. The result is a desk tidy collection that features the Milan Cathedral as a pencil holder, the Leaning Tower of Pisa as a pen pot and the Colosseum as a shallow cup to hold elastic bands. The oculus in the doomed roof the the Pantheon function as a pencil sharpener, while the simplified outline and magnetic body of the Mole Antonelliana functions both as a paper weight and a paperclip holder. The collection debuted at the 20014 Maison&Object exhibition.
