Elements by Swedish designer Jomi Evers Solheim is a collection of porcelain vases made from moulds that were formed around balloons filled with water. The elasticity of the latex allows Solheim to capture the momentary forms created by the contents of the balloons and the gravity that acts upon them. The porcelain is left unfinished – white and unglazed – on the outside. The designer believes this enhances the visual perception of the forms and heightens the tactile experience of the material. Elements launched at the London Design Festival as part of the designjunction exhibition.
