Extrusion Bowls by Apparatu

Extrusion Bowls is a process driven collection of vessels by Apparatu, designed by Guim Espelt i Estopá in collaboration with Joan and Xavier Mañosa. The process of making the bowl began with the deformation of a hollow cylinder of extruded clay, which then gets thrown on a potters wheel and formed with pressure from the center of the bowl. This process results in unique and characteristic cracks on the outer surface of the bowls, leaving the glazed interior the only controlled element in their creation.
