Oscillation Plates by David Derksen

Oscillation Plates by Rotterdam-based designer David Derksen is a collection of tableware created using a pendulum and bare white plates. Gravity acting as the driving force, the plates were decorated by a pendulum and represent the oscillation of a pendulum. The result is a play between the mathematical rules of the natural oscillation and the randomness of the human that initiates the swing of the pendulum. This combination makes each plate unique.
