Moiré by Sam Brennan and Jack Tompkins

Moiré is a series of vessels created by automating the age old tradition of clay coiling using an extruding machine. Once fired this uniform layered construct of clay produces startling results, the ceramic actually behaves like a spring. The pieces are then dip dyed to give them a nice dark grey finish.
